Putin Embodies War, Says Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a keynote speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin is behind the world's recent wars.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine has been at war for 10 years, with large-scale hostilities ongoing for the past two years. He emphasized that the Kremlin has been intervening in African affairs for nearly a decade, particularly in the military conflicts in Sudan and Mali. Furthermore, he pointed out that the war in Syria, which has been bloodshed due to Putin's decisions, has persisted for 13 years.
“Putin has stolen at least 13 years of peace, sowing pain and crises around the world. He is trying to normalize what should have ended in the 20th century—mass displacements, the destruction of cities and villages, and the terrifying feeling that war may never end,” Zelensky stated.
The Ukrainian president insists that Putin will not change, declaring, “In fact, Putin embodies war. We all know he is the sole reason why various wars and conflicts continue and why all attempts to restore peace fail.”
Zelensky called for an urgent end to the war and a halt to Putin and his military strategy.
