U.S. Commercial Ship Attacked by Missiles Near Yemeni Shores
A U.S.-owned commercial ship has been attacked by missiles near the shores of Yemen. This was reported by Reuters.
According to a statement from the British maritime security company Ambrey, the vessel was targeted near the city of Aden. It is believed that the strike was carried out from the air.
On January 12, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for adherence to UN Security Council Resolution 2722 to halt attacks on vessels in the Red Sea. He also urged the conflicting parties in Yemen to refrain from actions that could escalate the situation in the Middle East.
