We Haven't Learned to Carry Out Coups: Lavrov on Armenia

We haven't learned to carry out coups. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with RBC TV, responding to the question of whether the opinion that Russia is unable to use soft power applies to Armenia.

“Since soft power has definitely degraded to direct methods of intervening in internal affairs, probably yes. But of course, we have experience in diversionary work dating back to pre-war times, as well as during the war years. Our scouts have worked in various countries, heroically defending our interests. But that is primarily information gathering, do you understand? As for organizing coups? We haven't learned,” Lavrov noted.
