From September 1, 2026, the theoretical exams for obtaining a driver's license will be conducted under new regulations. The questions from the existing unified questionnaire have been grouped into two main categories: A, B, C, and D, T.

The purpose of this change is to make the theoretical exam more targeted, enabling the assessment of the necessary knowledge to safely and legally operate vehicles in the corresponding group.

What has changed
Previously, applicants seeking the right to drive vehicles of various categories and subcategories answered questions from a unified questionnaire. Under the new regulation, applicants for the right to drive vehicles of category A, B, or C will answer questions from the general questionnaire of group A, B, or C. Applicants for the right to drive vehicles of category D or T will respond to questions from the general questionnaire of groups D or T.

The quality of images accompanying the questions has been improved. This new approach will allow for a more targeted assessment of the applicants' theoretical knowledge necessary to safely and legally operate the vehicles in the respective group.
