The Polish ambassador to Azerbaijan, Pawel Radomski, has been summoned to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was handed a note of protest regarding a critical report broadcasted by TVP World about the Republic.

This was reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The report pertains to the 'Eastern Express' program that was aired on August 26 on the Polish public English-language channel TVP World.

According to a publication by the broadcaster on X, the program discussed Azerbaijan's internal political situation, mentioning the arrests of several journalists and accusing the government of pursuing opposition activists.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that the Polish television report contained "biased and absolutely unacceptable statements directed against the Azerbaijani state and its leadership." It also highlighted the provocative behavior of the host during the program.

The Ministry characterized the dissemination of negative materials about Azerbaijan by the TVP channel, funded by the Polish government, as an "unfriendly step that contradicts the spirit of partnership between the two countries and can cause serious damage to bilateral relations."

Baku called on the Polish side to take immediate and effective measures to stop such provocative campaigns against Azerbaijan.
