The Fate of My Friends Arkadi Ghukasian, Bako Sahakyan, and Others Keeps Us Uneasy: Zatulin

State Duma historian Konstantin Zatulin has addressed Armenian colleagues in an open letter. “The year 2023 has been a severe trial for Armenia and Russia, for the historical bonds between our peoples. The Armenian people have lost a precious part of their ‘I’—Artsakh. It is difficult, if not impossible, to come to terms with such blatant injustice. This is not only the case for you in Armenia but also for me in Russia. I am haunted by the fate of my friends Arkadi Ghukasian, Bako Sahakyan, and all their companions. I wish for you that 2024 will not be like 2023, that you find happiness and success in the New Year.”
