On December 27, a meeting of the board attached to the Minister of Defense was held under the leadership of Armenian Defense Minister Surén Papikyan, focusing on the agenda of the 'Status of the Armed Forces' combat readiness, training, and moral-psychological support management in the 2023 academic year, as well as the priority issues for the 2024 academic year.'

During the meeting, a report was presented by the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan. The issues, key activities, and achievements were highlighted.

Summarizing the meeting and providing several recommendations regarding the priority issues for the 2024 academic year to the heads of responsible units, Defense Minister Surén Papikyan assured that several ongoing works and programs are already in progress, and steps will be taken in the near future that will significantly contribute to the state of combat readiness of the armed forces, the increase in combat capability, management abilities, and the improvement of the social-living conditions of servicemen.

At the end of the meeting, transfer flags were awarded to the commanders of the military units that recorded the best indicators based on the results of the 2023 academic year's preparedness, while several servicemen who distinguished themselves through diligent service were awarded departmental medals, certificates of honor, and valuable gifts.
