Russian Language Textbooks Examination Completed, Distributed to Schools in Armenia: Minister
The examination of Russian language textbooks to be provided to public schools in Armenia has been completed, and the books have been distributed to the schools. This was stated by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, during a year-end press conference in response to a question from a Sputnik Armenia reporter.
“The examination has a very clear purpose. Any material entering schools must be examined, and this is a standard procedure,” she said. She emphasized that since a new standard has been implemented in Armenian schools this year, it was necessary to understand whether the textbooks sent from Russia correspond to the new standards in terms of topics.
