Five Fuel Importers in Armenia Under Investigation by CPCC
The Competition Protection Commission of Armenia has launched investigations against "C P S Energy Group," "Flash," "Mega Trade," and "Max Oil LLC" for apparent abuse of dominant market position. This information was reported by the commission's press service.
The commission indicated that it conducted a study on pricing and pricing policies in the fuel trading sector and noted substantial discrepancies in the procurement and selling prices of gasoline. The study examined pricing changes in the fuel sector, including gas stations in Yerevan.
Between 2022 and 2023, there were recorded discrepancies in the cost components of gasoline prices set by "C P S Energy Group," "Flash," "Mega Trade," and "Max Oil LLC," including procurement prices and the selling prices of gasoline by these companies, including unjustified high and low pricing practices.
As of today, the price for one liter of "regular" gasoline at gas stations stands at 520 AMD, while the "premium" type is priced between 560 and 570 AMD.
