One of the Fishermen Arrested in Gegharkunik Has Been Detained
One of the fishermen arrested in Gegharkunik has been detained for one month. The information was provided to Aurora News by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
“Twenty-five of the fishermen have been released, and only one has been charged under Part 3 of Article 452 of the RA Criminal Code (Interference with the lawful professional or political activities of a public official). A motion was submitted to the court to apply a one-month detention measure against him, and the motion was granted,” Abrahamyan stated.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that the fishermen in Gegharkunik had committed mass hooliganism and used violence against officials performing their duties; 26 individuals were arrested.
