Severe Snowstorm, Closed Roads: Situation on Armenia's Roads as of 17:00
As of December 25 at 17:00, the Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles due to heavy snowfall and lack of visibility, as reported by the Road Department.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in Ashotsq, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Tashir, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Vayk, Sisian, and Dilijan.
The section known as 'Zanger' in Sisian is closed to all types of vehicles. The Artik-Alagyaz road is impassable due to snow and low visibility. Snow is reported on the roads in the Goris and Sevan regions.
Other interstate and national roads remain open. Road construction teams are conducting clearing and salting/sanding operations on the roads.
