The Situation in Armenia Requires Our Strong Support: EU Representative
The situation in Armenia requires our strong support. Let's see how we can enhance it. This was stated by Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, during a meeting with the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers.
Borrell also announced that prior to the summit, his first meeting would be with the Armenian Foreign Minister.
"I will start the day with a meeting with the Armenian Foreign Minister before the Foreign Ministers' meeting begins. There is a complicated situation across the entire Eastern Partnership area, including Belarus, Ukraine, and also the South Caucasus... The good news is that Georgia is progressing on its EU membership path, but the situation in Armenia requires our strong support. Let's see how we can enhance it," Borrell said.
