Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, upon returning from Qatar, addressed Israel's statement regarding its intention to target leaders of Hamas residing outside Palestine, including those in Turkey. According to Ermenihaber, Erdoğan specifically stated: "First of all, to those who made that announcement, I would say they probably do not know Turkey very well. They do not recognize the Turks. They do not know us. If they make such a mistake, they should know that they will pay a very heavy price for it."
