Ceasefire in Gaza Ends: What to Expect
The ceasefire in Gaza has ended. The truce between Israel and Hamas, which had been in effect since November 24 and extended twice on November 27 and 29, concluded at 9:00 AM Yerevan time. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced the resumption of military operations.
In a statement, the IDF accused Hamas of violating the conditions of the operational pause and shelling Israeli territory. “The Israel Defense Forces have resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip against the Hamas terrorist organization,” the announcement stated.
Earlier, American media had reported that Israel and Hamas had agreed to extend the ceasefire for one more day, with both sides agreeing to release an additional 10 hostages.
