The US Has Demanded Turkey to Cease Support for Azerbaijan as a Condition for the F-16 Deal, Çelik
Turkey desires that ongoing discussions between Azerbaijan and Armenia lead to a peace agreement. This was stated by Ömer Çelik, the spokesperson of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), during a meeting with journalists, as reported by APA.
He noted that if Armenia refrains from destructive actions, the "3+3" cooperation format would significantly contribute to establishing peace in the region.
Çelik also mentioned that the US has demanded Turkey to cease support for Azerbaijan in liberating Nagorno-Karabakh. He indicated that Washington has put forth this demand during the aforementioned period as a condition for sending F-16 jets to Turkey.
