Qatar's Foreign Ministry Confirms Extension of Gaza Ceasefire
Qatar's Foreign Ministry has announced that an agreement has been reached to extend the humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip for two more days.
“The State of Qatar, as part of its ongoing mediation mission, announces that an agreement has been made to extend the humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for two additional days,” said Majid Al Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar's Foreign Ministry, on social media.
He had earlier written on his microblog on the X social network that mediators are striving to extend the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to secure the release of more Israeli hostages held in the area and to provide additional humanitarian aid to the enclave.
