Drivers of Buses 13 and 40 Declare Rebellion
Drivers of the 13 and 40 buses in Yerevan are declaring a rebellion and starting a petition.
According to ArmLur.am, drivers find themselves at an impasse and do not know how to explain to citizens the actual reason for their delays. According to the drivers, commercial vendors selling car tires on Nar-Dos and K chore- natsi streets have turned the road section into a marketplace.
“No matter what time of day it is, we cannot properly carry out traffic in that area and service citizens who wait for hours at the bus stops. We have alerted the police several times, and police vehicles have come to the mentioned street; they have forced the vendors to remove their goods from the road in order for traffic on Nar-Dos and K chore-natsi streets to resume. But as soon as the police leave, the vendors bring out the tires and other goods again. I do not understand why it is so difficult for the police to establish daily oversight in that area and not allow vendors to place their goods on the road. Understand this correctly; if there are police officers there every day, I assure you traffic will be organized, and we will be able to reach bus stops on time, so citizens won’t have to wait for hours for the 13 and 40 buses,” the drivers stated.
Auroranews is trying to clarify the details.
