A Bear Route Will Be Built

A bear route will be constructed in Chukotka. The program will be implemented by the Polar Bear Monitoring and Conservation Foundation in collaboration with the government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where the largest population of this predator in the world resides. It is important to note that the polar bear is listed in the Red Book of Russia, and hunting them has been almost completely prohibited for nearly 70 years.
