VIDEO: 40 km Traffic Jam at Polish-Ukrainian Border Due to Truckers' Protest, One Fatality
A traffic jam reaching 40 kilometers has formed at the Polish-Ukrainian border due to protests by Polish truckers. The drivers are expressing their dissatisfaction with the transit of inexpensive Ukrainian grain through the country. Protests have led to restrictions allowing only humanitarian aid, military cargo, vehicles, and buses through three blocked border checkpoints.
As a result, waiting times at the border are fluctuating between four and six days. According to Poland's Prosecutor's Office, one driver of a Ukrainian truck caught in the massive traffic jam has already died. In total, around 20,000 vehicles have been trapped on both sides of the border.
