Israel's Ground Offensive in Gaza Could Last Months, Says Defense Minister
Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has stated that the upcoming ground offensive in the Gaza Strip could last several months, but it will be the last operation if Israel succeeds in eliminating the Hamas group, according to Times of Israel.
"This must be the final maneuver in Gaza for the simple reason that after it, Hamas will no longer exist. It will take one month, two months, three, but ultimately Hamas will not be around," Gallant said at the command center of the Israeli Air Force in Tel Aviv.
“Before the enemy encounters armored and infantry forces, they will meet our air forces' bombs,” he declared.
“I have the impression that you know how to do this lethally, accurately, and of very high quality, as has been proven so far,” the Israeli defense minister added.
