Lavrov: 'We Hope This Position Will Prevail' Regarding Pashinyan's Statement
Russia hopes that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will remain committed to his statements regarding the country's unchanged political course, despite attempts to steer it in other directions. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference following a meeting of CIS member states' foreign ministers in Bishkek.
'I would like to draw your attention to the fact that just a few days ago, Prime Minister Pashinyan gave an interview in which he clearly stated that Armenia is not changing its orientation. We hope that this position will prevail, regardless of all attempts to lead Yerevan in another direction,' Lavrov told reporters after the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council.
