Astonished by How the Population Suddenly Left Their Homes: UN Mission on Artsakh Visit
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has issued a press release summarizing the findings of the UN mission’s visit to Artsakh. The release states that the purpose of the visit was to assess the local situation and evaluate the humanitarian needs of both residents who remained in Nagorno-Karabakh and those who fled.
The report also notes that 'UN representatives met with residents in Stepanakert' and familiarized themselves with the state of healthcare and education sectors.
'The mission was astonished at how the local population suddenly left their homes, which has caused them suffering as well,' the statement said.
According to the statement, the UN mission emphasizes the necessity of building trust between the parties, recognizing that this requires time and joint efforts.
