Armenian Government Appeals to ECHR on Ruben Vardanyan's Case
The Armenian government has appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in defense of Ruben Vardanyan, the former State Minister of Artsakh, as reported by Hasmik Samvelyan, the press secretary of the Armenian representative on international legal matters.
The Armenian side has requested information from Baku regarding Vardanyan's whereabouts and condition. It is recalled that the State Security Service of Azerbaijan has confirmed the information about Vardanyan's detention.
He was taken to the city of Baku, accompanied by members of the rapid response forces of the State Border Service. It is noted that Vardanyan has been handed over to the relevant authorities for a decision to be made concerning him.
