Attempted Terrorist Attack in Crimea: Russian Air Defense Shoots Down Ukrainian Drones

Russian military forces have thwarted an attempt by Kyiv to carry out a terrorist act in Crimea using unmanned aerial vehicles. This information comes from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Specifically, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports that Russian air defense systems destroyed two Ukrainian drones in the skies over Crimea.

“On September 17, at approximately 20:30 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist act using aerial-type drones against objects located in the territory of the Russian Federation has been stopped,” the statement reads.

It is noted that the air defense managed to shoot down the two drones in the south-western part of Crimea. Moreover, Russian media had previously reported a halt to traffic on the Crimean bridge.
