Iran Does Not Deploy Troops at the Border with Azerbaijan, Says Iranian Chief of Staff
“Iran does not deploy troops at the border with Azerbaijan,” said Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, during a phone conversation with Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, according to Interfax Azerbaijan.
Baqeri emphasized that the false information circulated by certain forces claiming that Iran is allegedly concentrating personnel and military equipment at the border with Azerbaijan is unfounded, as stated in a message released by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
