«It is necessary to use the Aghdam-Stepanakert and Lachin-Stepanakert routes in parallel,» Bayramov
The head of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, has accused Armenia of "inciting separatism" by "preventing the transfer of goods through the Lachin corridor." He made this statement during a meeting with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric, as reported by the Caucasian Bureau.
According to Bayramov, Armenia's claims regarding the blockade are "baseless," and at present, daily traffic of ethnic Armenian residents is secured in both directions through the Lachin corridor. He accused Yerevan of "failing to fulfill the agreements."
"It is necessary to use the Aghdam (Aqna) - Stepanakert and Lachin-Stepanakert routes in parallel, with the mediation of the ICRC and in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation and relevant procedures, to meet the needs of ethnic Armenian residents," Bayramov said.
