Daughter-in-law Takes 140,000 Drams from Home, Creates Illusion of Burglary
In a village of the Armavir region, a daughter-in-law took 140,000 drams from her husband’s parents’ room and then created the illusion of a burglary. This information was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
The Armavir division of the police received a report on September 11 that items in the bedroom of the residence had been disturbed and 140,000 drams were stolen from under the mattress.
An operational group from the division was dispatched, after which a criminal case was initiated on the basis of theft through illegal entry.
“After the appropriate actions, it became clear that there was no ‘illegal entry’. The daughter-in-law has confessed. She explained that during the day, when the family members were not home, she took the money and also disturbed her husband’s parents’ bedroom to create the illusion of a burglary,” the announcement stated.
After confessing, the woman returned the full amount of money. The circumstances are being clarified.
