The Argentine ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mariana Belushi, has been summoned by the Foreign Ministry. This information has been reported by Azerbaijani media.

During the meeting, the Argentine ambassador was handed a note of protest for remarks made by Argentine President Alberto Fernández during the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 10, 2023, which were perceived as biased against Azerbaijan.

President Fernández stated in his speech at the G20 summit that the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan is causing a humanitarian crisis, aimed at punishing the Armenian people within its territory.
