Tigran Avinyan Drove the 'Gazelle' Without the Appropriate Driver's License
Tigran Avinyan, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, has driven the 'Last Gazelle of Yerevan' in violation of the law, for which the Yerevan municipality prepared an advertising video. According to reports from Civilnet, Avinyan is required to have a category D driver's license to operate public transport, but he does not possess such a license.
The information was obtained from the relevant police database regarding Tigran Avinyan's rights to operate vehicles. According to these details, he holds a category B driver's license, which he obtained in 2017. The category B license allows for the operation of vehicles with a maximum gross weight of up to 3,500 kilograms and up to 8 seats, while Avinyan was driving a 'Gazelle', which requires a category D license. This constitutes an administrative violation and incurs a fine of 20,000 drams.
