VIDEO: Air Defense Systems Supplied Beyond Contractual Amounts Thanks to My Deputy, Tonoyan

No item was procured in exchange for another, nor was any priority given. The review of armaments and military technology has been conducted in addition to acquiring more. This was stated today, August 1, during a meeting of the National Assembly's investigative committee examining the circumstances of the 44-day war by former Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan.

“I can provide one example where the air defense systems that were supplied to Armenia were delivered in quantities exceeding the contractual amounts, and I can openly say that this is due to my deputy’s skills, financial and budgetary knowledge, and negotiation abilities,” noted Tonoyan.

In response to Andranik Kocharyan’s clarifying question about whom he was referring to, Tonoyan stated that it was Ghamaryan Makar.
