Vladimir Putin Gifts Presidential Helicopter to Zimbabwean Leader
The Zimbabwean Ministry of Information has announced on Twitter that Russian President Vladimir Putin has gifted a presidential helicopter to the country's leader, Emerson Mnangagwa.
“His Excellency President Putin has presented His Excellency President Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa with a presidential helicopter, which will soon be delivered to Zimbabwe,” stated the press service.
The announcement was accompanied by several photographs. The meeting between the leaders took place in Saint Petersburg on July 27 as part of the Russia-Africa Summit.
President Vladimir Putin declared that Russia and African countries stand together in favor of multipolarity. “Now Russia and African countries together advocate for the formation of a fair and multipolar world order based on principles of sovereign equality and respect for the right of peoples to determine their own fate,” said the Russian president.
