Moscow Urges Baku to Immediately Open the Lachin Corridor
It is concerning that the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh is developing according to a negative scenario. The humanitarian crisis in the region is deepening. This was stated in a statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“The local population is experiencing a severe shortage of food, medicine, and essential goods, and is practically deprived of electricity and gas. This could have the most dramatic consequences for the Armenian population of Karabakh and the ordinary residents of the region.
We strongly urge the leadership of Azerbaijan to take urgent measures to immediately unblock the Lachin corridor, to resume the unobstructed movement of citizens, vehicles, and goods in both directions, as well as to restore the energy supply to the region.”
