Finding Fruits, Vegetables, Butter, and Sugar in Artsakh Stores is Nearly Impossible: Artsakh Ombudsman
The issue of delivering essential goods in Artsakh remains critical. Gegham Stepanyan, the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, stated this in an interview with NEWS.am.
According to the Ombudsman, the delivery of medications has been somewhat regulated. However, the humanitarian situation in Artsakh has significantly deteriorated, approaching a humanitarian disaster. There is practically no fruit, vegetables, butter, sugar, and similar items available on store shelves.
"It is nearly impossible to find these products in stores. However, bread is still available. The government has also reported this," the Ombudsman mentioned. Nevertheless, he believes that at this pace, existing supplies will soon be exhausted.
