Severe Wind and Hail in Tavush: Trees Fallen, Roads Blocked

As a result of heavy rain, hail, and strong winds, trees have been toppled and roads blocked in the city of Ijevan, the administrative center of Tavush Province. The hail and rain have also damaged rural settlements in the Ijevan community, according to reports from the Tavush regional administration.

Rescue workers have assisted passengers, including children, who were trapped in a vehicle under a fallen tree. Rescue teams, police, and local authorities are currently clearing and reopening both interstate and community roads and streets.
