Operations at Metallurgical Plant Under Construction in Yeraskh Currently Halted
Operations at the Armenian-American metallurgical plant under construction in Yeraskh are currently halted. This was stated to ArmeniaSputnik by the Governor of Ararat Province, Sedrak Tevonyan. According to him, the distance from the plant to the enemy positions is about 700 meters.
“There are gunfire incidents daily, but not like this,” he said, adding that it is quiet at the moment with no gunfire reported. The governor visited the Ararat hospital to meet with the injured.
They underwent surgery due to shrapnel wounds sustained in the chest area. Their lives are not in danger. It is worth noting that Azerbaijani units have been periodically firing at Armenian positions located in the Yeraskh area since June 13. Today, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire at the metallurgical plant being constructed with foreign investment in Yeraskh at around 11:45, resulting in injuries to two Indian nationals.
