Any signature without considering the right of the Artsakh people to self-determination will be illegitimate: Artsakh MP
Any signature by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan or any authority regarding Artsakh, without considering the right of the Artsakh people to self-determination, will be illegitimate. This was stated by Davit Galstyan, the leader of the Justice faction in the Artsakh Parliament, in an interview with News.am.
He recalled that in 1992, the Supreme Council of Armenia stated that any international or domestic document mentioning the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan is unacceptable for Armenia. Therefore, any decision that circumvents this normative legal act will be a violation of both the Constitution of Armenia and the law.
“The people of Artsakh have repeatedly stated that they will defend their right to self-determination; the Republic of Artsakh cannot be part of Azerbaijan. This must be understood, and all actions must fit within this concept. Any action or signature that deviates from this logic is illegitimate,” emphasized the Artsakh MP.
