When Will Azerbaijan Return the Territories to Armenia? Karapetyan to Pashinyan

The leader of the "Strong Armenia" faction, Narek Karapetyan, posed a question to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly regarding the delimitation process and the territories under Azerbaijani control that are considered part of Armenia.

Karapetyan noted discrepancies between public statements made by the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. He specifically addressed the recent comments made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, describing them as interference in Armenia's internal affairs.

“When will they return our lands in Paravakar, Goris, and Jermuk? The delimitation process started two years ago, but the first phase concluded with us largely giving up territories, with few exceptions. When will they return our lands, so we know the process is not one-sided?” Karapetyan inquired.

In response, Pashinyan did not provide specific timelines and emphasized the importance of forming Armenia's political and strategic discourse. According to the Prime Minister, Armenia's positions should stem from its own strategic interests and not be shaped in response to the statements of leaders from other countries.

“We shape our strategic discourse based on our strategic interests, regardless of what others say,” Pashinyan stated.
