French Foreign Minister Calls Artsakh an 'Enclave of Azerbaijan'
The French Foreign Minister, Catherine Colonna, referred to Nagorno-Karabakh as an 'enclave of Azerbaijan' in an interview with France Inter, the public radio of France.
'We need to differentiate between the situation of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is an enclave in Azerbaijan inhabited by Armenians,' said Colonna.
According to Crossroads, the Foreign Minister emphasized that France is committed to promoting a peace agreement between the two countries, stating that the position of France, the EU, and the International Court of Justice is that the blockade of the Lachin corridor should be lifted unconditionally.
Catherine Colonna made this announcement on June 1 during the second summit of the European Political Community in Chisinau, regarding a potential meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev.
