Yerevan Not Interested in Normalizing Relations with Ankara, Says Erdogan's Administration
Armenia is not interested in steps aimed at normalizing relations with Turkey, stated the Turkish presidential administration in an interview with the Turkic World internet publication.
"Unfortunately, the authorities of Armenia cannot act independently regarding the events of 1915 without the dictates of the Armenian diaspora," the Turkish administration has declared.
"A serious problem is that Armenia and the Armenian diaspora still have roots digging into unproven depths of history. This poses a significant obstacle to the integration of this society into the modern and cultural world," the presidential office of Turkey insisted, assuring that Turkey is not ashamed of its history, as it has "consistently defended truth and justice throughout its entirety."
