Azerbaijan's Behavior and Actions Have Been Provocative: Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has addressed the recent Azerbaijani provocation near the village of Tegh.
“When such a situation arises, the first question I ask myself is what I did wrong because there are situations that are unpredictable. That is, something can go 'out of control',” he said.
Pashinyan stated that the Azerbaijani provocation was indeed anticipated: “Specifically, this was one of those situational events that was predictable and I held consultations on this matter, gave specific instructions, raised issues, and so on. However, in my assessment, what happened should not have occurred. And it is clear to me that we must investigate what happened and why it happened.”
He emphasized, “There is no doubt in my mind that Azerbaijan's behavior and actions have been provocative. We should not have hoped for otherwise, and that scenario was also foreseen. Within the framework of that scenario, specific individuals were given instructions, and the execution of those instructions has failed.”
