Arte's Clarification Regarding Pro-Azerbaijani Report
The Franco-German television channel Arte faced a wave of discontent over its report titled "Azerbaijan: The Hour of Return to Artsakh," aired on March 9. This backlash was particularly pronounced among French Armenian users and even among French audiences on social media.
According to the Armenian embassy in France, alongside complaint letters directed to the management of Arte-France, Armenian organizations, as well as French Armenian and French figures, expressed their dissatisfaction in postings on social media, tagging the official account of the channel.
In response to the numerous letters of grievance, Arte was compelled to issue a clarification regarding the report, specifically noting that several reports based on testimonies from the Armenian side have been prepared and aired by the channel in its "Arte Reportage" program concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The broadcaster also assured that it never intended to endorse the official discourse of any given country through its reports.
