Sri Lanka Continues Dialogue with Russia on Possible Oil and Gas Deal
Sri Lanka continues its dialogue with Russia regarding a potential oil and gas deal, an issue that is on the agenda of the country's Ministry of Energy, Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardana said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Sri Lanka is not currently purchasing Russian oil and gas, but this issue is on the agenda of our Ministry of Energy and, if discussions are successfully concluded, a mutually beneficial agreement could be signed. Our authorities will discuss this matter with responsible officials from Russia,” Gunawardana stated.
