Susanna Gaboyan Defeats World’s 10th Champion in Women's Chess European Championship
In the 7th round of the 23rd Women's European Championship, Susanna Gaboyan defeated the world’s 10th champion, Bulgarian Antoaneta Stefanova, while Anna Sargsyan triumphed over Polish player Alicia Sliwinska. This information has been reported by the Armenian Chess Federation.
Lilit Mkrtchyan, Elina Danielyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan, and Polina Kobak had draws in their matches. Elina Danielyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan, and Anna Sargsyan have scored 5 points out of 7 possible, while Susanna Gaboyan has 4, and Polina Kobak has 3.5 points.
It is worth recalling that the 23rd Individual Women's European Chess Championship started on March 18 and will conclude on March 30. The tournament features 140 chess players from 30 countries and will consist of 11 rounds.
