Activity of the Surmalu Market Suspended

Based on the directive issued on March 3 by the head of the State Inspection Committee for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety, specialists from the inspection committee conducted a fire safety review at the Yerevan Canning Factory (Surmalu Market) located at 15 Arshakunyan Street, to assess compliance with technical and fire safety requirements.

As a result of the inspections, numerous violations of the technical and fire safety regulations were identified at the specified facility. Considering the fact that the buildings and structures at this address operated by the company are not in compliance with many aspects of fire safety normative documents, which can pose a direct threat to fire incidents and public safety, the head of the inspection committee made the decision to completely suspend the operations of the Yerevan Canning Factory, LLC at 15 Arshakunyan Street, Yerevan, until the identified violations are rectified.
