Kongjoryan Meets with Russian Ambassador, Discusses Azerbaijan's Diversionary Attack
Today in the National Assembly, the head of the "Civil Contract" faction, Hayk Kongjoryan, along with faction members Babken Tunyan and Mikhail Tumasyan, received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin.
Hayk Kongjoryan drew the ambassador's attention to the diversionary attack carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces in Nagorno-Karabakh on March 5, which resulted in the deaths of three police officers from Nagorno-Karabakh's law enforcement and left another wounded.
It was noted that the Lachin Corridor has been unlawfully blocked by Azerbaijan for the 85th day, which constitutes a gross violation of the trilateral statement, and it is imperative that the Lachin Corridor be opened as soon as possible.
The meeting also addressed issues related to economic cooperation between Armenia and Russia, highlighting the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation between representatives of the two countries.
