Tatevik Hayrapetyan: Discussions in Azerbaijan Suggest the Corridor Could Remain Closed for Years

Former MP and Azerbaijan expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan writes on her Telegram channel: “At an expert level, discussions have begun in Azerbaijan about the possibility that the corridor could remain ‘closed for years’.

This indicates that Azerbaijan is trying to operate outside international law and ignore all calls for the corridor's opening. Simply put, they are stating that the closure of the corridor is a crucial tool for implementing territorial claims against Armenia.

This topic should be used as an informational tool to demonstrate that fulfilling Azerbaijan's demands not only does not bring stability but also complicates the situation for Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia further.

I do not consider the proliferation of such conversations in the Azerbaijani press coincidental, as it primarily serves the orders of the state.”
