Blinken Reveals What He Told Lavrov
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a press conference that he had a conversation lasting about 10 minutes with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov within the framework of the G20. According to the U.S. State Department, Blinken made it clear to Lavrov that the U.S. intends to continue supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary. During the conversation with Lavrov, Blinken said, “Put an end to this aggressive war and engage in substantive negotiations that lead to a just and sustainable peace.”
It should be noted that this was the first meeting between Lavrov and Blinken since January 2022.
