We Hope That Agreement on Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan Railway Will Be Reached Soon: Lavrov
Moscow is hopeful that the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia will soon be able to reach specific agreements regarding railway communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following talks with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
“We have discussed the negotiation process for unblocking transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus. We hope that in the near future, the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, as co-chairs of the relevant trilateral working group, will be able to reach concrete agreements on the resumption of the use of the railway route between Azerbaijan’s main territory and Nakhchivan,” Lavrov stated.
