Xavi Comments on Defeat to Manchester United
Barcelona's head coach Xavi has commented on the loss to Manchester United in the Europa League Round of 32, which ended with a score of 1-2.
“In the second half, we lacked composure. We need to be more patient. We lost due to minor details. They scored two goals when we lost the ball. Overall, we didn’t play badly; we fought and looked good against a great team. I am very sorry that we lost,” Xavi's words are reported by UEFA's official website.
In the Europa League Round of 16, Manchester United will learn its opponent after the draw scheduled for February 24.
Xavi has been managing Barcelona since 2021, with a contract running until 2024. Currently, Barcelona is leading the Spanish league standings, having amassed 59 points. The Catalans are 8 points ahead of their nearest rival, Real Madrid.
