Azerbaijan Demands Clarifications from Iran Regarding Citizens' Visit to Artsakh
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mamedov, has stated that Iran has yet to provide clarifications regarding its citizens' visits to Artsakh. Azerbaijani media report on this development.
The Azerbaijani representative once again leveled baseless accusations against the Armenian side, claiming that "Armenia is once again interested in the illegal use of the Lachin corridor." He interpreted the visits of certain citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Artsakh under the logic of "illegal use," for which the Azerbaijani side demands explanations from Iran.
It is noteworthy that the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan received a note last December regarding visits to Artsakh made by Iranian citizens.
